It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Thompson announces his sudden passing on Friday December 16th, 2016 at the age of 80. Gord of Wasage Beach, beloved husband of Marilyn , loving father of Bruce (Lynn), Julie (Tim Kane), Joanne (Rob Little), and Terry( Rosanne). Devoted grandfather of Richard, Michael, Jennifer, Jessica, Kailee, Brandon, Amanda, and Brandon, and great-grandfather of Isabella, Ava, Noah and Ezra. Friends will be received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, Wasaga Beach Chapel , 509 River Road West ,Wasaga Beach at 11:00 am on Sunday January 15th, 2017. A Celebration of Life will take place at noon and will be followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, if desired, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated in memory of Gord. A special thank you to the emergency services who so exceptionally and compassionately tended to Gord and the family on December 16th
