Condolence: I knew Lindsay only as a child - after her first transplant until she was about ten. My memories of her are of smiles, laughter and fun. She was full of life and positive enegy. It sounds like the rest of her life was this way too, a slight consolation at this sad time. My thoughts go out to all of her family and friends.

Condolence: We saw the notice in the paper tonight and were saddened to realize this moment has come upon you. A daughter can never be replaced and to loose one is a heavy burden. Our dear Lord can sustain you both through these moments as you already know from past experiences. Lean into His compassionate arms and let Him carry you through. I am sorry we will not be able to be with you this Saturday but will connect when we are back in Ontario, God Bless.

Condolence From: Risto & Jeanette
Condolence: Dearest James, Deb and family: We didn't have the pleasure of knowing Lindsay but just knowing you, her parents; informed us that she must've been made of "strong stuff". We are very fortunate to call you our friends and we are so deeply saddened for your profound loss. In the natural order, we, as parents "leave this planet" before our children. Upsetting this balance, is often unexpected, even shocking. Even though Lindsay fought for her life since she was 2 years old, a loss is still a loss. As parents, (and your friends) we mourn with you. You have suffered too much for one lifetime. We hope that you find comfort in knowing that Lindsay can rest now; her fight was valiant, and now is over. Words fail in this instance; yet we had to acknowledge your loss. Please, please do not hesitate to contact us for anything you might need. We will be there for you on the 27th. Much love, Jeanette and Risto.

Condolence: How well I remember the support of the local community when Lindsay was just a youngster. As Editor of the Enterprise-Bulletin I was amazed at how strong and happy she was while suffering. Now there is no pain and our Lord will make her happier than she has ever been. May she rest in peace.

Condolence From: R Bailey
Condolence: May the God of ‘everlasting comfort’ be with your family during this time of deep loss (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17) Losing a loved one due to an illness can be very devastating. Comfort can be found in God’s Word the Bible at Isaiah 33:24 and Revelation 21:4. There you will find a beautiful hope for the future of our loved ones. I pray these scriptures will bring you comfort and hope during this difficult time. My deepest sympathy.

Condolence From: Nancy (Mason) Johnston
Condolence: My heartfelt sympathy to all of Lindsay's family. I was there at the start of her journey. It was obvious from the very beginning that Lindsay was not going to give up without a fight and she had a family that believed in her. Even as sick as she was as a toddler, she was feisty and showed the world her indomitable spirit. A lifetime too short, but oh, what a ride.

Condolence From: Cathy (Festorazie) Fowler
Condolence: Dear Christine, I don't know if you remember me but we grew up in south etobicoke on 4th Street. From the time you found a way to get Lindsay's little face into the media and get her first transplant successfully behind her I've been following your story. I've often wondered over the years how thing were going for you and your family and how Lindsay was making out as she grew into a young adult. I went searching for you last month on Facebook but sadly today I've heard the heartbreaking news about Lindsay's passing. You, your family and all of Lindsay's loved ones are in my prayers. I can't say I know what you're going through....because I don't....no parent should ever have to bury their child. It sounds like Lindsay had a good life and that's all that anyone can ask for.....thinking of you at this difficult time. Cathy xo
