On Monday July 3, 2017 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 94. Grace of Stayner, beloved wife of the late John A. Grieve (1983) and the late Harold M. Martin (2009). Loving mother of Ardiel (Pam), Sharon (Jim Holland) and Shirley Irwin (Terry Cumming). Cherished grandmother of Mathew (Jennifer) Holland, Lindsay (Richard Lewis), Dawn Marie (Bob Martin), Melissa Irwin (Steve Spiessman) and John Irwin (Jackie) and great grandmother of Lincon and Nova Lewis, Logan and Ronan Holland, Lucy and Ella Irwin, Hailey (Cory Caulfield) and Jonathan Martin and great great grandmother of Jaxson Caulfield. Grace is predeceased by her parents Lloyd and Edna Dickinson. She will also be missed by Harold’s family – Pauline, Bill and Lisa May Tofflemire, Marshall Martin and Sara-Dale and Mark Hartshorn. Grace lived her lifetime on the family farm on the 2nd Concession of Nottawasaga Township. Her passions were her love for her family, for her church and for music. She was also renowned for her sweets, particularly her pies and butter tarts. She was a woman of elegance, grace and compassion. She will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday July 6, 2017 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd, 219 Scott Street, Stayner on Friday July 7, 2017 at 1 o’clock. Interment Stayner Union Cemetery. Reception to follow at Huron Meadows Clubhouse, 275 Huron Street, Stayner.
