Kanat, Edward 1931-2017.
Passed peacefully on Sunday November 19, 2017 at the Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Olive Kanat (Barker) for 64 years. Proud father of Charlotte (Rick) Davey, Ron (Connie) Kanat and the late Jay Kanat. Cherished Grandfather of Ben and Brianna Davey, Ryan (Lisa) and Kristopher Allary. Great grandfather of Austin, Nolan and Adalyn. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Anna Kanat and brother John Kanat Jr.. Edward was a hardworking and generous soul. Edward's love of his family, and his sense of humour will be missed by all. Friends are invited to join Edward’s family for a Memorial Gathering at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Saturday November 25, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. Donations to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation in Collingwood would be appreciated by Edward’s family.
