Ruttan, Gerald Clement (Gerry)
Died peacefully on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at Campbell House, Collingwood at the age of 88. Gerry of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Norma (nee Grummett) for over 64 years. Loving father of Mark and his wife Adriana and of the late Paul. Cherished grandfather of Jason (Jaime), Jeremy (Tara-Lynn), Chad (Leah) and Katie and Alexandra and Tatyana and to great grandchildren Lily, Lenix and Kylie. Gerry is predeceased by his brother Allan and his wife Sharon. He is also survived by his nephews David and Dale (Carolyn), his many friends and neighbours. Gerry had a long career in the grocery industry, the last number of years with Zehrs. He was a long time member of the Wasaga Beach Woodworkers Club, a devoted member of Centennial United Church in Stayner and a tireless volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. His friendly smile and helping hand will be dearly missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Saturday May 26, 2018 from 12 noon for the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 1 o’clock. Reception to follow. Interment Wasaga Beach Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation for Campbell House would be appreciated by Gerry’s family.
