Hugh W. F.  Stirling
Stirling, Hugh Wilson French
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 surrounded by his family at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 82. Hugh of Wasaga Beach, beloved husband of Fay for 60 years. Dear father of Tim (Connie) and Anne (Andy). Cherished Grandfather of Jephson, Conrad, Melissa (Chris), Brittany and Andrew and Great-Grandfather of Ella and Lyla. Dear brother-in-law of Jim (Betty) Murray and Martin (Agnes) Murray. He will also be missed by extended family in Scotland and his many friends. Hugh was a longtime member of theRCL Branch 63 and the Prime Time Club and enjoyed woodworking, billiards and darts. He was also proud of his military service as a member of the Tank Regiment of the Royal Army. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26 on Thursday August 23, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Jubilee Presbyterian Church, 7320 Highway 26, Stayner on Friday August 24, 2018 at 1 o’clock. Reception to follow. If desired, donations to Jubilee Presbyterian Church or the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
