Obituary for Ruth Elisabeth Thomson (Notcutt)

Thomson, Ruth Elisabeth
It is our deepest regret to announce that our beautiful "Mama" Ruth had passed away peacefully on Thursday November 8, 2018 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 61 early in the morning.
Ruth of Wasaga Beach, cherished and devoted mother of Skarlette Rath and her spouse/son-in law Adam McLean. Dear Nana of Raven Rosalie, Maddison Phoenix and Sky Trinity McLean. Dear life long cherished friend of Larry Laughlin.
Ruthie will also be missed by her sisters Pauline (H.W. “Bud” Crawford) and Breeta (Ed Tower).
The “Karaoke Queen” hostess of Wasaga Beach ran her business for nearly 25 years, & will be painfully missed by so many of her friends she made throughout the community and her business, including dear close personal friends of Val, Gail, Tracey & daughter Brandi-lee, Lisa Taylor, and many more we would love to list.
She was kind to absolutely everyone she knew in her life. Many people called her "Mama" Ruthie, because of her love, care & devotion for the people around her.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her beautiful life as well as the continuation of her new journey will be held at a later date.
Arrangements under the care of the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel.

Long Live The Karaoke Queen,
Whome danced through life,
Encouraging Passions & Dreams.

Up above the clouds & stars so high,
Arch Angels gently singing cry,
In joy to welcome Their Lord's child,
For whome they had expected by.

To guide her soul to Heavens Gates
They sang a song that gave her wings,
Now she sings amongst the choir,
She guides us all every hour.

Listen closely, and you may hear
Mama Ruthie whisper
In you grieving ear;

"Don't cry for me, my friends of dear,
Death is of nothing to fear.
I merely started a new journey, you see.
I would rather have you celebrate me!
Beneath the arms of any sacred tree,
While singing songs that remind you of me.
My life was full, I left it blessed.
I lived it proud, I lived it my best.
"Death" is just a road that bends.
We will meet again, dear friends."

We all meet our own demise,
The future is hidden in disguise.
'Till then, Live your lives strong and true,
Do Unto others as you would
Have them done unto you.
Be gentle, Be kind...
In the end,
Your soul will know just what to do
xoxo ❤ oxox
