Died peacefully on Sunday December 23, 2018 at Campbell House Hospice, Collingwood at the age of 92. Eileen of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Uno Holmlund (1986). Loving mother of David and his wife Mary and Garry and his wife Pat. Cherished grandmother of Brook (Gia) and Ben (Lisa) and great grandmother of Kristianna and Hazel and another on the way. Eileen was a longtime resident of Willowdale, spending her summers in Wasaga Beach before becoming a year round resident in 1972. She was a founding member of the Wasaga Art Club, and was one of the artists to create the Winter mural at the Wasaga Stars Arena. She was a dedicated canvasser for the United Way and the Cancer Society and she found her spiritual home at Centennial United Church, Stayner. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Stayner Chapel, 7313 Highway 26, Stayner on Thursday December 27, 2018 from 2 to 5 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday December 28, 2018 in the Chapel at 1 o’clock.
