Martin, Dylis Doreen (nee Jones)

Heaven received another angel today. With deep sadness, Dylis, passed away peacefully on Monday May 7, 2018 at Amica Retirement Home, Barrie in her 94th year. Dylis of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late George Martin (2011) for over 68 years. Loving mother of Diane and her late husband Ken Ross and the late Douglas and his wife Gloria. Cherished grandmother of Kim Martin, Sheri (Tim Welch), Patricia (Clive Mathias) and Brett (Kirsti) Donald. And great grandmother of McKayla, Sydnee, Maya, Reno, Ashden, Brodi, Elijah and Adrian. Dear sister of the late Elwyn Jones. Dylis was a kind and loving woman who dedicated herself lovingly and selflessly to her family, her friends and her church, of which she was a founding member. We were all so blessed to have such a wonderful mom, grandma and great grandma in our lives. We will miss you mom, but now you are at peace. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Thursday May 10, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. for the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Pastor Keith Lockhart of the Wasaga Beach United Church officiating.
