Condolences

Condolence From: Dear Doug and family: How sad to learn of Catherine's passing - our Xmas card to you was returned and I was praying I wouldn't find her through this channel. We fondly remember the time you both visited my mother and us at Mom's "home" in Edmonton. Cat
Condolence: Dear Doug and family: Our Christmas card to you and Catherine was just returned and I was sorely afraid to use this type of venue to determine why. Sadly, I send you our sincere condolences. Just recently, I came across the picture of all of us in my Mom (Lydia's) room in Edmonton and remember how beautifully Catherine played for the residents that day. We hope you are doing well and are surrounded by caring family and friends. Know that we, too, care and send love and prayers. Sincerely, Lois (Gordon) Shedlowski, Pacific Grove Ca. as well as husband, Ed, and our family

Condolence From: David & Charmagne Bristow
Condolence: Six years ago today we were sooo very honoured to have Catherine play with June Flynn at our wedding. They were our first choice and our wedding would not have been the same without each important guest so treasured on our wedding day and video forever. As we have on our video, Catherines talented organ playing and her song to us at the end of the night to cherish forever. Catherine was my piano teacher for years as well growing up. Will love & Miss her Always.

Condolence: I am sorry to hear of Catherine's passing. I attended Byng School with Catherine. Although she was a grade ahead of me, we were part of a great group of friends which included Stayner Teen Town. I reunited with Catherine in the '80s at a funeral of her sister-in-law Helen Richardson and again at my mother's funeral. As a result of these meetings, a successful Stayner Teen Town Reunion was enjoyed by many former Staynerites. At that reunion, a decision was made to have a Byng Reunion in 1992. Catherine was a very important part of organizing it. From there, the Stayner Heritage Society became a reality. Catherine was one of the founding members and was very involved with its executive. She will be missed, but never forgotten. I can hear her now leading a Choir of Angels.

Condolence From: KATHERINE ALLEN
Condolence: It is with a sad heart to hear of Catherine's passing. She was so instrumental in encouraging others with their music abilities by being involved in various musical groups. I have many great memories of singing in the choirs at Jubilee Pres Church and later singing with her with the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus. She was not only involved with the community and Jubilee Presbyterian Church, she was one of the two people who started the Ontario Presbyterian Chorus which was a combined Georgian Bay area and Toronto based choirs. Her love of music will continue to sing on in our memories. May God's peace and comfort be with the family at this time.

Condolence From: S.A. BROWN
Condolence: The death of a loved one is the most devastating experience a family can face. The thought of never again being able to talk, laugh,or comfort during hard times is difficult for us. Something that helped me when I loss my family members is the book of Isaiah 26:19" Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up......and the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." (John 5:28,29) I hope these words will comfort your family as well, and that the family is feeling good as expected today.
