It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sean James Kinnear of Wasaga Beach on Thursday April 25, 2019. He passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Hospital in Newmarket with his family by his side. Sean was predeceased by his wife, Georgette (Joan) Marie Sell. Great father to Laura Kinnear-Hammond (predeceased by Tim Hammond), Debbie Cherry (Glenn), and Stephen Kinnear (Krista). “Go-Go”, “Big Dad”, and “Papa” to his grandchildren, Michael, Kelsey, Bradley, Brittany, Emma, Madeleine, Samuel and great grandson, Lincoln. Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Sean met his wife in her hometown of London, England. Not long after that, Sean immigrated to Canada, along with his brother, David. With the blessings of her parents, and the money for her fare, Joan soon made the trip to Canada too. Their journey together began in Toronto, where they built a family, and took them to Wasaga Beach where they built a business, a home, and a life. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Monday April 29, 2019 from 12 noon for the Funeral Service to celebrate Sean’s life at 1 o’clock. Interment Ebenezer Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
