Died suddenly on Thursday July 13, 2017 at his home as a result of a house fire at the age of seven. Dominic, loving son of Donald Smith (Candace Elliott) and the late Sareena Denesiuk. He was the light of his family and he will be deeply missed by: his Godfather Dave Fleming, siblings James Denesiuk, Serenity Elliott, Dylan, David Jr. and Brooke Fleming and Damien and Aiden Jetté and Steven Elliott , his great grandparents John and Ruby Sampson, Marlene Langille and Dan Trew, his grandparents Esther and Donald Smith Sr., Pat Fleming and Sheila and Bob Arney, his aunts and uncles Michelle Smith (Joe Lock), April Smith (Steve Faragher), Crystal Arney (Mark Smith), Joanie (Tim Sedgwick), Leanne (Harris Dryden), Dennis Arney and Melissa and Tina Elliott, Denise Langille, Leah, Frances and John Denesiuk and Chris Hewlet, his surrogate mom Samantha Lawrence and his many cousins Alice, John, Orlando, Austin, Leah, Robert, Alex, Tori, Tiron, Chelsea, Karlee, Cameron, Marissa, Braydon, Melissa, Zachary, Blanche, Debbie, Russel, Tammy, Gregory, Michelle, Cheyenne, Eric, Shane, Jamie, Donna, Sheena, Jennifer, Robert, Michael, Pamela, Steven, Stacy, Linda, Susan andMary Ann. Dominic was predeceased by his great grandparents Nelson and Aileen Smith and Shirley Purdy, grandparents David Fleming Sr., Billy Langille and Lilly Denesiuk and uncle Ryan MacDonald. Dominic was an energetic boy who loved his family, his pets, his school and he especially loved his dinosaurs. He was taken too young and too soon but he will never be forgotten. His family invite friends to join them to celebrate Dominic’s life on Friday July 28, 2017 at Sunset Point Park, 48 Saint Lawrence Street, Collingwood for a Memorial Service at 11 o'clock. Donations to a trust which has been established at TD Canada Trust to assist the family as they move forward from this tragedy would be appreciated.
